Back Home: Reverse Harem (A... Back Home: Reverse Harem (A Lucky Stars Ranch Serial Book 2) by Sophia Grace    ****REVIEW

Loralei is back home, back with her adored brother's best friends, back where she belongs. This is the second serial in a cowboy-themed reverse harem romance. Loralei left 15 years ago after her brother's unexpected death and has only now come home running from something. She's returning to her childhood crushes but they aren't the boys she left behind. Tyler has the weight of the ranch on his shoulders, plus he's trying to keep his "brothers" standing. Jackson is recovering from a rodeo injury, but he's hiding a bigger problem. And Cooper is a broken, bitter man after the betrayal of his wife.

This second installment heated up quickly. This isn't a true case of insta-love or insta-lust however, with the shared history and Loralei's adolescent feelings. I was in favor of Loralei and Ty. He's such a great guy and goes out of his way to show how much he cares for her. I was not a fan of Lorelei and Jackson. He's a man-whore. When you find a guy having sex in the bathroom stall with another woman, you do NOT reward him the next night with sex! I cannot stress this enough! There needs to be groveling, forgiveness. He needs to show all other women he is now only interested in you. He needs to prove his worth to you, prove his loyalty. Make him work for it. And then there's Cooper. Divorce sucks, it hurts, especially when there's a betrayal. However, that's not a good enough reason to lose yourself to bitterness and it's definitely not an excuse to act nasty to those closest to you. How long can he go without looking at or speaking to Loralei? One bad woman does not represent us all. Reverse Harem is my favorite genre, but at this point, Ty is the only man worthy of Loralei's attention. It says a lot about the life Loralei was living that she thinks their behavior is acceptable and is still interested.

This serial is addictive. This group desperately needs one another. There is so much healing needed. Their past history gives them a strong foundation, but they need to start trusting each other, communicating, depending on one another. I look forward to their journey.

Back Home: Reverse Harem (A... Back Home: Reverse Harem (A Lucky Stars Ranch Serial Book 1) by Sophia Grace   *****REVIEW

Loralei has come home. She's been gone for 15 years, but her heart has always been at The Lucky Stars Ranch. As a young girl she tagged around after her brother Josh and his three friends Ty, Jackson, and Cooper, but after Josh died, her family left. Now she's back, all grown up. The feelings from her youth for her boys are deeper than ever. They're men now with the weight of adulthood on their shoulders. One carries the weight of running the ranch, one is hurting from a failed relationship, and the other is hurting from a serious injury. Loralei has secrets herself; she's running from something. But now she's back home where she should be surrounded by her boys. Bonds developed from childhood are the strongest; how far do these bonds really go?

I LOVED this story. Sexy cowboys! A shared history. Hidden life stories. The characters drew me in from the get-go. Loralei has a fear that worries me. Cooper's pain hurts me. Jax is in another kind of pain and, to be honest as much as I sympathize, I was also upset with his reactions. I have no time for that behavior. And Ty won my heart immediately. He's a strong, stand-up guy that loves his friends, his ranch, and wants to do right by it all. These four might have something special together if they can be honest and come together.

Great start to a new serial. I am hopeful it continues to be this top-notch and that Sophia Grace writes quickly!

Moonlit Harem: Part 2 Moonlit Harem: Part 2 (Moonlit Harem Series #2)   by N.M. HowellNicole Marie   ****REVIEW

Moonlit Harem 2 continues the story of our favorite vegan vampire Riley. She has been taken in by the local werewolf pack and has made a real connection with 3 of the were's; pack leader Zane, council member Leo, and Forrest. She is coming to terms with her diet, trying to accept the ways of her new pack and let go of her coven teachings. It's an emotional time but made much easier with the attention of her three. It's not all sexy times with her three though; Riley confesses the reason she ran. The Centennial de Sang, the vampire ceremony sacrificing 100 humans. It's decided that the werewolves will attempt to intervene. Now if they can only carry out their mission and manage to stay alive. Fun, fast read. Ends with an excruciating cliffhanger guaranteed to make you eager for the next installment.

Moonlit Harem: Part 1 Moonlit Harem: Part 1 (Moonlit Harem Series #1) by N.M. Howell   ****REVIEW

The world of Reverse Harem is getting spoiled right now. We have new releases every other week. We also have several new serials that are fantastic. Moonlit Harem now joins their ranks! Riley is a vampling, an unwilling vampling. As a human she was vegan, so the idea of a blood diet is less than appealing to her. However, she wasn't given a choice when she was turned. She has been existing on a synthetic, but her time is running out. She is days away from her 21st birthday. On that day the vampires will throw a fabulous party with the entire coven and the vampire council present. She will be expected to kill a human to complete her transition into a full-fledged vampire at that time or be killed herself.
Riley is only a vampling, but it seems that she is important to the coven. They call themselves family, but can they be trusted? It seems there is more going on that we don't know about and it involves Riley. There is much pressure to get her to drop her "human" ideas and become a traditional vampire. Pressure from her creator, Sirus, and mentor Draven, from a certain handsome vampire and his creator. Some are overt threats, some are sneak attacks, but it seems like quite a few people are invested in Riley. It almost works, but at the last minute Riley stays true to herself and runs. While she escapes the vampires, she is captured by a pack of werewolves, wild, sexy werewolves....
NM Howell has created a wonderful world to start this serial. There's history, mystery. Riley is a quirky, adorable young lady. I love that she wants to be a vegan vampire and is fighting for her beliefs. She's stubborn in this ancient world of tradition. Her new ideas are bound to cause chaos. She's great! Finally, a vampling in a hostile werewolf pack; a beautiful vampling with sexy werewolves, natural enemies; I can't wait to see what the next installment brings us!

SERIES SEEMS TO BE IN LIMBO

Discovering Alexis: Truths & Lies (Bad Boy Rebels Book 7) Discovering Alexis: Truths & Lies (Bad Boy Rebels #7)   by Jessica Sorensen   ****REVIEW

Another great episode of my most frustrating addiction. Jessica remains the Queen of the Serial once again with this latest novella which deepens the mystery of Alexis and Zhara. I admit that I have been more of a Zhara fan, but the two books focusing on Alexis are excellent. So much emotion packed into so few pages. This book especially brought the twins almost equal in my interest. And West!! Love this guy. Once again I am counting the days until the next installment.

Discovering Zhara: Sweet Lies & Kisses (Bad Boy Rebels #6) Discovering Zhara: Sweet Lies & Kisses (Bad Boy Rebels #6) by Jessica Sorensen   ****REVIEW

I am completely addicted and completely frustrated with this series. Jessica Sorensen continues her reign as Queen of the serial. The evolution of Zhara continues, we get to know even more about the guys (yum!). I believe we actually may get more information in the continuing mystery in this installment, yet I am even more frustrated. I have no patience where good stories are involved! I want more now!!

Discovering Alexis: The Wildly Crazy Day (Bad Boy Rebels #5) Discovering Alexis: The Wildly Crazy Day(Bad Boy Rebels #5)  by Jessica Sorensen   ****REVIEW

This serial just keeps getting better and Jessica cannot write fast enough for me at this point. It's amazing that so much can be contained in a novella. This is a continuation of the Bad Boy Rebels series, however, this one focuses on Zhara's twin sister Alexis. From this point on the books will alternate between the two girls with crossover storylines. I wasn't certain that I would like the change because I am so crazy for Zhara and her crew. No worries. I love Alexis and West. Even though we didn't get any real time with Steel and Ellis I imagine that I will love them as well. I do hope to never run across Masie again. There's a special place for girls like that. I expect Blaine to have a role, but hopefully not much. I want those two hurting and far away from Alexis! I can't stress how much I am enjoying this series; write, Jessica, write.

Discovering Zhara: Bad Girl Training (Bad Boy Rebels #4) Discovering Zhara: Bad Girl Training (Bad Boy Rebels #4)   by Jessica Sorensen   ****REVIEW

Another great read in the Discovering Zhara serial. Each book is better than the last; each deepens the mystery surrounding Zhara and the guys just keep getting yummier. Can't wait for the next one!

Discovering Zhara: Going Undercover (Bad Boy Rebels #3) Discovering Zhara: Going Undercover (Bad Boy Rebels #3)   by Jessica Sorensen   ****REVIEW

Installment 3! These episodes just keep getting better. This one has more intrigue, more danger, more questions, and more action with the hot Bad Boys. Makes me want more, more, more! I love how Zhara is changing little by little. And I love the guys so far. The pace the episodes are being released is good keeping my frustration to a minimum. Keep it up, because I am hooked.

Discovering Zhara: Meeting the Bad Boy Rebels (Bad Boy Rebels #2) Discovering Zhara: Meeting the Bad Boy Rebels (Bad Boy Rebels #2)  by Jessica Sorensen  ****REVIEW

No one does serial writing better than Jessica Sorensen. Discovering Zhara is a perfect example of her work. It's so enjoyable, although quite frustrating. A nibble at a time, as good as it is, just isn't enough.
During this installment, Zhara gets to meet the Bad Boy Rebels and agrees to be their "girlfriend". We just get a brief glimpse of each; the quiet one, the grump, the stoner, the flirt, the leader. We also get a peek into Zhara's home and the overall mystery deepens with a new neighbor.
Such an entertaining little read. Hurry up with the next one, please!

Discovering Zhara: Kissing Benton (Bad Boy Rebels #1) Discovering Zhara: Kissing Benton (Bad Boy Rebels #1)  by Jessica Sorensen   ****REVIEW

Discovering Zhara is a wonderful little novella from Jessica Sorensen. It's very short, so it's better if you can get it through KU. It's episodic; this one is basically one scene, a little backstory, and a bit of foreshadowing of what will be the main storyline.
Zhara has just graduated; a good girl, wracked by guilt, not allowing herself to even think about what she wants in life. Benton appears to be the stereotypical party-boy, bad-guy. There's so much more going on here. Zhara decides to attend her first party (Benton's). The book takes place completely at the party. So much takes place with so few words. So many emotions over a couple of hours.
This novella is so good, so frustrating. No one does episodic writing better than Jessica. I plan to read the next installment over lunch today. I hope they keep coming out quickly. My patience is not good when it comes to serials.

                   by Skye MacKinnon   ****REVIEW

Stones of Winter is the second episode of the Winter Princess serial. It might be even better than the first installment. Wyn and her Guardians are trying to reach the gate to her mother's realm, however, someone doesn't want her to make it there alive. And to complicate matters even more, Wyn is in serious lust for her Guardians (all of them).
This book packs a punch; it has plenty of action and the sexual tension is increased threefold. There's also humor. Wyn is funny, both aloud and with her internal monologue and the guys get in a few shots as well. I love the lighthearted feel to the book. It makes it a really enjoyable read. I love that they are coming out every couple of weeks. Release day is definitely something to look forward to!

Call of Winter (Reverse Har... Call of Winter (Reverse Harem Serial                             (Reverse Harem Serial (Winter Princess) #1)                       by Skye MacKinnon  ****REVIEW

Winter Princess is the first installment of another new Reverse Harem serial. For those of you who do not want your stories in small portions, who prefer the entire book or even series to be complete before you start reading, this is not for you. For readers who want a delightful segment of an on-going story, you will enjoy this one. Wyn is a demi-goddess reaching her magical maturity on her 22nd birthday. She hasn't been given any details about what she can expect and since she's been raised in the human world, really has no idea about the magical world at all. She has been told to expect guardians to pick her up on her birthday to take her to the Winter Queen, her mother.
Wyn's birthday arrives and chaos ensues. It's a disaster only halted by the arrival of 4 gorgeous guardians. They are on their way as quickly as possible, but it's not easy. Wyn's out of control, there are complications, and an enemy along the way. Wyn seems like she will be a good lead female. It's early in the story and she's overwhelmed, so we haven't seen her at her best yet. Still, at the end of the book, it is clear that she has brains and powerful magic. The guardians, Storm, the scowling twin, Frost, the smiling twin, Arc the sexy Scot who gives great hugs, and Crispin, the beautiful blond. We don't know much about them yet, but I look forward to more time with them in the future.
The only negative about this installment is its length. It was short even for a serial. However, it did end at a natural break for storytelling and there's a lot packed into this first segment. It sets up the entire serial. I look forward to learning more of Wyn's background, her powers, her guardians, and the Winter Realm in the next installment.

Lavish (Mafia Queen #2) Lavish: A Reverse Harem Miniseries (Mafia                   Queen Book 2)  by C.M. Stunich    *****REVIEW

Lavish is book 2 in CM Stunich's Reverse Harem Mafia series. Mischief, danger, and sex. This is a line in the book that sums up this book to perfection! We continue the story of Adelasia Costella on her journey to become The Mafia Queen. She and her three lovers, the three underbosses of the other major crime families have just survived an attempt on their lives. Now the games begin. Adelasia has to find the traitor; someone close to her is lying, wants her dead. Is it one of her men or her own family?
This book is HOT! The mafia politics, the family intrigue, the steaminess between Adelasia, Caj, Lucky, and Marcell. A wolf, a coyote, and a fox. Each different, yet the same. Three beautiful men all fighting for attention, all sexy, all deadly. It's an irresistible combination. And Adelasia is a dark force that cannot be ignored. She's clever, angry, determined. I believe she is the most dangerous character in the book and the men would do well to not underestimate her.
I could not put this book down. CM Stunich is a favorite of my authors. Her books always entertain (obsess) me. I am convinced that she is writing this series especially for me. RH, Mafia, hot characters, action, intrigue, sex...she checked off my wish list. Eagerly awaiting my next book!

Lure (Mafia Queen, #1) Lure (Mafia Queen #1)

                       by C.M. Stunich  *****REVIEW
An invitation from Carlo, the beginning of my end. Adelasia Costello is a Mafia Princess, a fact that she has tried to deny for years. She's been living the life of an animal rights lawyer living with her boyfriend Bo hiding who she really is from everyone. But now her father has called her home. It's time for her to contribute to the family. He wants her to date the underbosses of the other three big families. Marcell Moran, Caj Bellincioni, and Lucky Moretti are three devastatingly handsome men. They are also deadly. Her job is to gain information, marry one, kill the other. Adelasia never wanted this life, but after learning what is truly wanted from her, a betrayal, and a lot of wine she's on the path to seduction. Her mission should be considered a success, but soon after their lives are in danger. "Group sex and then a firefight. A day in the life of a mafia princess". Any book with a sentence this sublime is a must read!
Adelasia is an exceptional character. A girl that looks like a sweet Italian seductress wearing her rosary, but she has a streak of darkness in her that should be feared. She's smart, calm, clever, resourceful. If these men underestimate her I believe they will regret it, if they live that long. The three sons are dark, powerful, beautiful men. They will be good with her, but only if they are true. Her father, his second, the capos, they don't need mentioning. They play their role but are insignificant in comparison to what Adelasia will be. And Bo and Adelasia's friends aren't worthy of even that much recognition. May they grovel one day.
Confession time, I realize that most little girls want to marry Prince Charming when they grow up, I wanted to marry a Mafia Don. Seriously. I didn't see the seedy, lethal side, only the romance of "the family", speakeasies. and powerful men. So this is the reverse harem I have been waiting for. The fact that it is written by one of my favorite authors in the genre makes it perfect. This is the series that will bring my childhood fantasies and join them with my adult ones. I can't wait for the next installment.

Midnight's End: Raven Queen...Midnight's EndRaven Queen's Harem 6

                       by Angel Lawson   *****REVIEW
The time has come. Win or lose. Darkness or light. The end battle has arrived. It's time for Morgan and her Raven Guards to make their final stand against the Morrigan. Morgan is with the Morrigan, Anita, and Bunny in the Otherside. She has to prepare herself for the fight against Morgan which means she must be at full strength. Forgiveness is a must but is it possible? Her other Guards were sent back to heal the sick and raise an army. Not everyone wants the Morrigan and the darkness to fail though so it's difficult to know who is ally and who is foe. Extreme measures must be taken to provide Morgan with her army.
Perfection! I could not have asked for a better conclusion to this series. This contemporary twist on the Raven Queen stayed faithful to the lore of the Morrigan while bringing it to a present-day conclusion. Every character plays an important role. Just ends for some, forgiveness, second chances, and redemptions for others. It's the ultimate story of the power of love. New characters with a chance for a future together, unrequited love finally recognized, and of course the love of a Queen and her guards. The ending of the book turned out to be the ending I never knew I needed but I couldn't imagine it any other way. Full circle. And the epilogue! It's near and dear to my heart and even more than I asked for. Perfection!

Onyx Eclipse (The Raven Que... Onyx Eclipse (The Raven Queen's Harem Book 5) by Angel Lawson   *****REVIEW

Onyx Eclipse continues the story of Morgan and her Raven Guard. The virus is spreading around the city. Morrigan is gaining a foothold in the world. Reeling from the betrayal of one of her own and the capture of three others, Morgan and Dylan and are scrambling to find through a gate to reach the Otherside. Hildi is watching Anita who is locked up in the basement, but instead of providing any answers, she seems to be descending into madness. Meanwhile Bunny is in Otherside painting, following his plans for his Mistress and Clinton, Damien, and Sam are barely alive being tortured in the dungeons. Morgan is weakened by the separation to her guards, but she and Dylan are doing their best, and Morgan has a plan. She is willing to trade her life in order to save her Guards and the world.
This is a darkly thrilling story. Time is split between the Otherside and Topside. Morrigan is a deadly opponent and her strength in the Otherside is immense. The Guards are imprisoned, but new allies are found and strength remains. There are secrets that the Morrigan has no idea of. Love and kindness remain. Morgan is coming into her own. Her determination to save her Guards and destroy the Morrigan is making her formidable as well. She is also Queen and her power, her warmth can rival the Morrigan's cold power. Her Guard's love and loyalty for her is a weapon she can use to make her stand. Bunny is her weakness. He has done more damage than can be measured, his jealousy and his underestimation of Morgan have nearly destroyed them all. This must be repaired. War is coming. The final battle. Morgan is unprotected, she has to deal with Bunny, the other Guards have a job to do, the three must be reconciled. Everything hangs in the balance.
This series has gotten better with each book. What started as a fun book about one of my favorite myths has evolved into a wonderfully, creative series. Angel has continued to weave the original myths with a modern day setting to create an extraordinary story. The characters that started out as 5 hot guys and their "Queen" have wormed their way into my heart. The tension has built to an unbelievable level. Midnight's End is the next and final book of the series. I can't wait!

Raven's Gift: (Raven Queen'... Raven's Gift: (Raven Queen's Harem                               Christmas Novella)  by Angel Lawson     *****REVIEW

Candy canes and hot chocolate. Sleigh rides and dancing. The Nutcracker. This is 'The Five Days of Christmas' Raven style. Morgan is upset about giving up her regular Christmas, so her guards decide to help make this a Christmas she won't forget. They each take a day to celebrate the Season with her. This is the most romantic, the sweetest, most charming, deliciously sexy novella possible. I will not go into any details about the dates because everyone deserves to enjoy this for themselves. I will say that each guy came up with an original date that captures his relationship with Morgan. Each shares something personal. Each is thoughtful and romantic. Their gifts are well-thought out. Morgan's gifts to everyone are perfectly delightful as well. Christmas Celebrations wouldn't be complete with a family dinner, a yule log, and love shared around the tree. What better way to celebrate! This enchanting little story is a gift to every reader who loves Morgan and her Raven Guards.

Obsidian Fire (Raven Queen'... Obsidian Fire (Raven Queen's Harem 4)            by Angel Lawson   *****REVIEW

Obsidian Fire is the 4th installment of the Raven Queen's Harem. It's been one month since Morgan was separated from the Morrigan. She has taken all five of her guards as her mates, she is struggling with writer's block wondering if she even has a story now, and she is trying to gain her bearing once again after no longer being under the control of the Morrigan. This is the best installment yet!
At a time when it seems that life should be settling down, it all spirals out of control. Morgan is getting closer to some of her mates, but something is not right. Someone is keeping secrets. She finally breaks down the walls with one mate, only to be devasted by another. So much happens in this book and it will leave you breathless, devastated, angry, and fearful. It's time for Morgan to take over. The Morrigan is not finished with Morgan and her guards. Morgan will have to fight harder than ever before to save them all.
I loved this book! The ending left me wrecked. I need the next one now! Seriously, I understand and appreciate serials, but this was hard. I don't see how I manage to wait for the next one!

Black Magic (Raven Queen's ... Black Magic  (The Raven Queen's Harem #3)

                       by Angel Lawson   ****REVIEW
I was lucky enough to beta read this book, and I can't stress enough how well done this series is. There is so much tension and suspense, so much plot and relationship development, it's unbelievable.
This book picks up with Morgan in turmoil. The line has been drawn. The Morrigan is getting stronger. Even though Morgan is training and has the support of her ravens, she only manages to one-up Morgan briefly. The danger to the world is real, but Morgan and the guys are determined to do whatever is necessary to stop the past from becoming the present once again. Morgan continues to get closer to each guard, but still can't choose just one. She comes up with an interesting alternative and she also has a suggestion as to how to best deal with the Morrigan. The guys aren't in agreement due to the risk to Morgan, but it's her decision.
This book has so many entertaining scenes including some sexy times. A couple characters make re-appearances and we also meet a few new ones. The guys continue to be perfect. They each fill a unique role. As one answer becomes clear, another mystery arises. The ending will take your breath away; leave you reeling wondering what comes next. It feels like we are nearing a critical point. Can't wait!

Ebony Rising: (The Raven Qu... Ebony Rising: (The Raven Queen's Harem #2)   by Angel Lawson  ****REVIEW

Morgan's life has changed drastically since she arrived a few short weeks ago believing that she was a talented grad student who had won a prestigious scholarship for her writing. Now she knows that she is the most recent Morrigan and that she could destroy the world. She must pick a mate from one of her five raven guardians while readying herself for the upcoming battle. Her days are crammed with writing, training, studying her own history, and trying to decide which man is her true mate.
Ebony Rising is even better than the first book. It moves the story forward at a nice pace and is the perfect balance between story development and relationship development. Morgan spends time with each of the guys so we get to know them better. We even get a bit of their creation story. Again the raven mythology makes for a brilliant feature. The attention to detail adds so much! Things are heating up between Morgan and the guys too. Angel Lawson is a master at creating an erotic scene. Whether it's dueling with Clinton or getting painted by Bunny, it's sensuous. The actual steamy scenes are unbelievably sexy. True connections are building with all of the guys. It's the ideal RH. Side characters are introduced or play bigger roles in this book and add to the suspense. It's clear that time is running out. Morgan must make a decision or all could be lost. Book two ended with such intensity; it's volatile and could get much worse very quickly. It had me screaming, worrying, but also hoping. I can't wait for book three.

Raven's Mark: (The Raven Qu... Raven's Mark: (The Raven Queen's Harem #1)  by Angel Lawson  ****REVIEW

Raven's Mark is a new reverse harem based on mythologies surrounding ravens. Ravens have appeared in lore since the beginning. These ravens seem based on Celtic myths. Fantastic premise! Morgan, a graduate student/writer has been awarded a scholarship into NYU. It comes complete with free tuition and a beautiful suite in a mansion with 5 other artists. Five gorgeous male artists. These men have a secret, one that Morgan desperately needs to know. The world depends on it.
I was instantly captivated by this story. It weaves ancient mythology with Morgan's past, present, and future effortlessly. Morgan seems like she will be a worthy lead female as well. She's smart, creative, lovely. She has huge challenges ahead, but I have faith in her and the guys. Dylan, the record keeper, ever faithful; Damien the metal worker with his shiny baubles; Sam, the easy-going photographer, Bunny, the damaged artist; and Clinton the ever watchful musician. I feel like we got a good start knowing the guys, but I hope for even more next time. The ending of the book sets up this possibility perfectly. There's a good, natural connection between Morgan and the guys; plenty of sexual tension and 3 super hot scenes. Intimate and erotic, yet not too much. Enough to make you look very much forward to future encounters.
This was a fast-paced book that included world building character introduction and set up the series storyline. It's a solid start. Morgan's destiny is now. I can't wait to see what happens next.

Blood and Lust: Under the S... Blood and Lust: Under the Skin Serial Part                  Two (Under the Skin #2) by K.B. Ladnier  *****REVIEW

Blood and Lust returns us to the serial of one of my favorite little tattoo artist vampires, Lucy Bryant. We pick up with Agent Hollis saving Lucy from the violent vampire attack and in a panic taking her to his place. We immediately find out some major info on the sexy agent and since this part is told in Hollis's POV, we learn exactly how he feels for Lucy. By the time he takes Lucy home the next day to an anxious Claudia and a frantic Sloan things have changed, become significantly more complicated for Hollis, Sloan, and Lucy. It's time for a heart to heart with Sloan. And then with Hollis. And then with herself. While Lucy is trying to sort out her feelings, the city is close to facing a crisis. Hollis's case, the investigation that first led him to Lucy is spiraling out of control. It could have ramifications for the human/vampire world and on a personal level, Lucy is in direct danger.
This installment is even better than the first. It's multi-layered. There's suspense, action, and danger surrounding the ongoing investigation. There's relationship drama and sexy times. Truly there's a sense of sexual tension coloring each and every page. All three main characters are sexy as sin; they are also very likable. And they communicate with one another. Love that everything is out in the open. Honestly, I loved everything about this installment. And with that ending, I eagerly await the next episode!

Blood and Ink: Under the Sk... Blood and Ink: Under the Skin Serial Part                   One (Under the Skin #1) by K.B. Ladnier ****REVIEW

Lucy is a tattoo artist, an unconventional vampire. Now her peaceful life is turned upside down and her very life is in danger. Blood and Ink is the first installment of a new Reverse Harem serial Under The Skin. I loved it.
For the first episode of a serial, KB Ladnier does an excellent job creating the story. It all takes place in a matter of weeks, but we also get a bit of background, we meet all of the important people in Lucy's life, and we get to know Lucy and her passions. She finds her bliss tattooing. Her best friend Claudia is hysterical and loyal. Her best male friend/werewolf lover, Sloan is amazing. I love a hot, protective, devoted wolf. And Agent Hollis Grey while still mostly unknown is so yummy. So much happens in such a brief book. There's suspense, danger, passion, heartbreak, and humor. I could not have asked for a better start to a serial. Immediately addicted!

Forsaken by Five: Reverse H... Forsaken by Five: Reverse Harem Serial: Part Four (Divinity Saga: Meg's Story Book 4)

by
Meg is in hiding. With the council searching for her, the guys have left her with the local pack where she can hopefully hide safely and learn to use and control her powers.  As it turns out the pack has a few secrets of their own.  If Meg decides to stand with them she may have more support than expected.
Forsaken is very short, very informative, and very promising. Meg finds out quite a bit about herself and the local pack but as the title indicates there is no time other than one conversation with the guys.  Meg does find a new friend and possible allies. I look forward to more.

The Protection of Five: Rev... The Protection of Five: Reverse Harem                     Serial (Divinity Saga: Meg's Story #3)

                    by L.A. Kirk   ****REVIEW
Protection of Five is the 3rd part in the Reverse Harem Divinity Saga Serial. It's a wonderful installment! So much tension crammed into so few pages. Quinn's life is in jeopardy, Meg feels that she is to blame. Plus, if the guys find out her new secret they may want her gone for good. There's lots of information packed in with plenty of action. We get answers about Meg; Divine or Tainted? Either way, she is in danger from the Council. There is a helpful new character with growling escorts! We get to know a secret about Brock and the guys seem to be getting more attached to Meg. There's definitely a connection developing between Meg and the guys. Looking forward to the next installment, but I hope that the solution for Meg's safety is very brief. I need more guy time!!

The Trust of Five: Part Two...The Trust of Five: Part Two: Reverse Harem              Serial (Divinity Saga: Meg's Story #2)

                  by L.A. Kirk  ****REVIEW
The Trust of Five is the second installment of the Divinity Saga serial. It's another great episode of the continuing mystery surrounding Meg and her tangerine eyes. We get a bit more world building and it's clear Meg is in danger, but we don't know much more than that. The story is compelling and quickly draws you in, but it's equally frustrating. There are so many questions. I feel like we know Meg's basic character and we know each of the guy's abilities, but I want to spend more time with them; one on one and as a group. This book does allow us more of a glimpse into Red. Much appreciated!
LA Kirk has created an engaging, original story with an engaging cast. It's a quick, fun read. It also ends with a bombshell, making us wonder exactly what does this mean for Meg? The team? I am invested and want much, much more!

Heart of Five: Part One: Re... Heart of Five: Part One: Reverse Harem                           Serial (Divinity Saga: Meg's Story #1)

                    by L.A. Kirk  ****REVIEW
Heart of Five, a Reverse Harem serial by L.A. Kirk, exemplifies the best and the worst of a serial. It immediately grabs your attention, it's well-written, and the characters are promising. The premise is intriguing. It's also frustrating! A great serial sucks you in and leaves you wanting more, more, more. This is a very good serial!
Meg is searching for answers. When she turned 25, her eyes started changing from their normal brown to a bright tangerine. She's researching her way up to Michigan following clues found in fantasy books. At a stop for lunch, she has an encounter with two large animals that leaves her shaken and her car vandalized. Her trip is put on hold while her car is repaired, but she might be in exactly the place to discover the truth about herself. The answers might be found with a group of special men she meets, Mitch, Archer, Red, Brock, and Quinn.
This is a serial, so it is short. It contains lots of needed information setting up the storyline and introduces the cast of characters. It also makes it clear that Meg is in some type of danger. This is a really good opening book and I can't wait for more!

Rejecting Fate: Reverse Har... Rejecting Fate: Reverse Harem Serial - Part                Three (Fated #3) by Cece Rose  ****REVIEW

Rejecting Fate is part 3 of the Fated Book Serial. I know I claim that each installment I read is my favorite, but that's my truth. Each episode is better than the last. Each episode takes us further down the rabbit hole that is the shifter world. Selena doesn't trust Cyrus, now she doesn't feel that she can trust Erik either. And when Adrian reappears with an offer to work together for a mutual cause, she isn't sure what to think. Add in the fact that she learns some baffling truths about herself and her mind is spinning. All she knows for certain is that she is her own person; she refuses to belong to anyone, and that she wants to find Melissa. Beyond that, she's lost.
Cece has outdone herself. This is a well-written mystery of a book. For each clue, there is a new puzzle. With each new character, another person to wonder about. I love Erik, I sympathize with Cyrus, Adrian is a wild card. Who do I lust for, who do I suspect of treachery? The fact that I am no closer to solving this story as I was during the first chapter of episode 1 has me enthralled. I impatiently await episode 4!

Twisted Fate: Reverse Harem... Twisted Fate: Reverse Harem Serial - Part                    Two (Fated #2) by Cece Rose  ****REVIEW

Twisted Fate is the second installment of the Fated books. We rejoin Selena and Erik on the run from Cyrus and his men. Things start heating up between the two, but Erik has secrets of his own. It's impossible to know who can be trusted. Where is the biggest threat?
This is a well written, suspenseful book with a bit of edge. I love how each book begins. We know there's a betrayal coming, but other than that everything is still a mystery. Good, bad, danger, safety, lover, enemy? We know nothing of the characters, who will be in the harem or where the story is heading. This element of the complete unknown is addictive. As soon as you finish with Part 2, you will be clamoring for Part 3!

Fractured FateFractured Fate (Fated #1) by Cece Rose  ****REVIEW

Fractured Fate is the first installment of the Fated Book Series. It's by Cece Rose, half of the writing team that brought us the incredible A Demon's Blade. This author can write! This book starts out strong and quickly engulfs you. Warning this is a dark reverse harem. The prologue starts out violent. This is going to be a sordid, gritty story. If you have triggers to violence, take note!
It starts out like any other night; Selena (Lena) and her best friend Melissa are out clubbing. Normal ends when Selena walks down the wrong hallway looking for her friend and accidentally interrupts a meeting. One mistake, one meeting changes her life forever.
Lena is a wonderful, badass beauty. She faces the danger, the unusual predicament that she finds herself in head on. I love that she's not curled up in a fetal position, rocking in fear. The men that she is now involved with are mysterious, dangerous. Cyrus is the Alpha. I can't wait to find out more about this man who comes across lethal one moment, gentle the next. Is he just a monster or misunderstood? There's also Alex, James, Luc, and Erik. We don't know much about them yet, but there's a lot of yumminess there to get familiar with.
This first installment does exactly what it should do. It's well written and enthralling. It's sexy and mysterious. It hooks you immediately so that you want more. NOW. If part 2 is as good as this installment, I will be addicted!

The Rules: Reverse Harem Se... The Rules: Reverse Harem Serial

(Succubus Bargain #4) by L.L. Frost

                  Review to Come Soon

The Terms: Reverse Harem Se... The Terms: Revers Harem Serial

(Succubus Bargain #3) by L.L.Frost  ****REVIEW

The Terms is the third installment of the Succubus Bargain. I was conflicted over my review of this episode. The agreement is promising. I like Adeline. I feel that she is trying her best to stand up for herself and make the best of her circumstances. I didn't like the men in this one. Tobias just came across as an a** that I wouldn't bother with and Kellen is too much of a player to be trusted. Emil is the only one that seemed to have a bit of character development. I saw a spark in him for the first time. The bathroom/hot chocolate scene was wonderful. With the short length of these episodes, if the men don't get more flushed out and become likable it will be hard for me to go any further into the story. Energy transfers and sex are secondary to a connection to me. However, I'm still intrigued enough at this point to continue. I want this to work! Adie seems like she may be the only sweet character in the demon world and I want her to be happy. If she wants a bakery, if she wants these men, I want her to have them! I want to see her get under these three demon's skin; I want her to make them feel again. Obviously, I'm hooked; I will be reading Book 4.

The Deal: Reverse Harem Ser... The Deal: Reverse Harem Serial

(Succubus Bargain #2) by L.L. Frost   ****REVIEW

LL Frost is a very good author and a very mean one! Adie has been accused of breaking demonic law. She's locked out of her apartment, she has no clothes and very little money. Everyone but her mentor has turned their back on her. She's once again low on energy. And she's being stalked by the contract offered by the powerful demons.
This was a great installment of the Succubus Bargain series. It was super short, but we did find out some key information and Adie seems to have a plan. Of course, like a well crafted serial, the book ended on a nasty cliffhanger. This one will definitely leave you screaming or wanting to throw your Kindle and then laughing, because what do you expect! It's a serial; anticipated, quickly enjoyed, frustrating; and then we are left anticipating once again. Well done LL Frost, you're a cruel one!

The Offer: Reverse Harem Se... The Offer: Reverse Harem Serial

(Succubus Bargain #1) by L.L. Frost   ****REVIEW

The Offer by LL Frost is the first book in the Succubus Bargain, a Reverse Harem (RH) serial. Fantastic start. Adeline Pond is a defective succubus. She can't get her energy from the dream world and must have contact to get enough to sustain herself. Because she doesn't want to hurt humans or prostitute herself out, she is trying to start up a cupcake bakery. She will feed off of her customer's happiness. Seems like a perfect solution, but there are demons in the way of her plan. They have an offer that must be accepted before she can get started with her plans.
This is a well-written novella; short, but as a serial that can be expected. There is great world building and back story. Adie's character is nicely developed, There's sexual tension and great future potential. You will immediately be drawn in, but it's over before you want it to be. If you need instant gratification, a serial is not for you. If you don't mind getting the story in installments you will enjoy this one. I can easily recommend this book, but with a warning label. Too often authors start out with regular serial releases and then after a few months, the releases slow down, and then drop off completely. You, the reader, are left frustrated without an ending. This serial has promised regular monthly installments. Fingers crossed that this is true, because I am already hooked and waiting for next month!

Strip for Me: Part five (Re... Strip for Me: Part 5 (Reverse Harem Serial              Book 5) by G. Bailey  *****REVIEW

Kaiden has been shot, he's seriously injured. Annie is hurt. Ellie has gone into labor too early. The club is on fire. Drew is responsible for everything being a mess. The last part of Strip For Me starts out with tensions high!
This book is the perfect conclusion to Ellie's story. It's incredibly sweet. The guys have proven their love for Ellie. Now we get to witness their love for their daughter. I didn't think it was possible for them to get any sexier, but when they hold their daughter and talk to her, it takes them to a new level of desirable! All loose ends are tied up; Drew gets what he deserves and Liz is left crying. Ellie gets her HEA. The epilogue is the icing on the cake. Without a doubt, this is my favorite RH serial to date!

Strip for Me: Part Four (Re... Strip for Me: Part Four (Reverse Harem                    Serial Book 4) by G. Bailey  *****REVIEW

Drew is certifiable! The man is crazy dangerous and it couldn't be more obvious. He's the biggest obstacle to Ellie's happiness at this point. She's in love, her guys are in love, the arrival of her baby girl is nearing, she is dealing with Liz's betrayal, and two of Todd's sisters have become good friends. Overall, life is really good, but Drew does cast a dangerous shadow.
Ellie is the star of this installment. She's a great lead female. She's strong and takes care of herself. If someone hurts her, an apology doesn't automatically earn them a spot close to her again. I like this. Too many lead females are way too forgiving. Ellie is thoughtful and loving to her guys, appreciative and sweet to her friends and no-nonsense to those who have betrayed her. She's not ugly to them, but she does keep a barrier in place. And can I just say that while Drew is certainly no Prince Charming, who knew Liz would turn out to be almost his equal. Girl is a witch and fairly delusional herself. She's the worst possible kind of female; one that hurts another female for an unworthy man. It's amazing how perfect Liz and Drew are for each other. Too bad he's obsessed with Ellie. Can't wait to see them both fall.
We meet Ellie's parents in an unexpected fashion. We get time with each of the guys, the focus being more on Kaiden; although I feel that Andre is getting short-changed a bit.
This is the toughest cliffhanger yet! Lives are in danger. It's exciting and worrisome. Another great installment.

Strip For Me: Part Three (R... Strip For Me: Part Three (Reverse Harem                Serial Book 3) by G. Bailey  *****REVIEW

It's official, Ellie is falling for all four of her roommates and they seem okay with that! At least that part of her life is going well. So much of the rest of it is a mess. Her ex-husband wants her back and she is betrayed by someone she thought of as family. Betrayal in the worst possible way. She just keeps taking hits. Life is complicated!
These books just keep getting better. The men are falling for Ellie and she's falling for them. We get a good look into Dom's past and get to know him better. This man in his glasses is unbelievably sexy. We get some sexy time with several of the guys and find a real friend in Annie. The pregnancy is progressing nicely. We get to know the sex of the baby!! And then we reach the ending.... I was already up late reading, but thought, these are short reads, I can read one and get to sleep at a "decent" time. Then I hit this ending. No way was I going to sleep anytime soon. Each cliffhanger ups the last. So good!

Strip For Me: Part Two (Rev... Strip For Me: Part Two (Reverse Harem                    Serial Book 2) by G. Bailey  *****Review

Strip For Me is the second installment of G Bailey's fabulous Reverse Harem Serial. This one picks up exactly where book 1 left off with Ellie standing open-mouthed watching the father of her child and one of her new roommates on the stage in a strip club. Shock doesn't begin to cover her reaction and she goes flying out into the street. She recovers fairly quickly and we get on with more of the fun.
This book has more interaction between Ellie and the guys, more character development with all of the characters, a bit of a mystery with her best friend, and the guys all admit to one another about being attracted to Ellie. There's also a little lip action here and there. We also get our first sweet glimpse of the baby and a less welcome appearance by the ex-husband.
This is my favorite RH serial and there are several good ones being published right now. This one set the bar high in the first installment and continued its excellence with this one. The storyline, the characters, the development of relationships, and sexual tension have me spellbound. I do not give serials 5 star ratings, yet I break my own rules for this one. It's serial perfection.

Strip For Me (Reverse Harem... Strip For Me (Reverse Harem Serial, #1)

                      by G. Bailey  *****REVIEW
Strip for Me is the first installment of a new Reverse Harem serial by G. Bailey. It's too yummy to put down! Ellie's life is simply complicated at the moment. She's newly divorced, unemployed, homeless, and pregnant from her one night stand. Upon finding her baby daddy, it looks like life could get a whole lot more complicated, but possibly much, much better. Andre Courture is the beautiful man Ellie spent one night with. He lives with Kaiden, Todd, and Dom, three other equally beautiful men and they have a secret that may send Ellie running. They welcome Ellie into their house and lives with varying degrees of eagerness/hostility. I can't wait to read the next installment. Really, like I want it right this minute!

                      by
Cameron Darke is a dhampir—half-vampire and half-human. She is also the one that got away. The only deal ever made with Rumple Stiltz not fulfilled. Her mother promised her to Rumple the world's most powerfully dangerous assassin as payment for a deal we've all heard about; the one about spinning gold. Instead of making payment, however, Cam's mom went on the run with her daughter. They stayed on the move until Cam's mom was brutally murdered. Now she's all alone with only a half-ogre bartender as a best friend and a job as a killer for a local vampire house. As a dhampir, she's disrespected and abused by the vampire world. She barely makes ends meet but an opportunity has come up that may offer her a new life. The Vampire King needs a queen to make his people happy but as a reluctant groom, he has set the requirement impossibly high. He'll only wed a woman who can spin straw into gold. Fortunately, Cam knows how to make this happen. Time to make a deal with Rumple's kin. The same deal her mother once made. So she turns to the Stiltz' Brothers for a deal to win the crown. This time the deal has a twist. She must turn over her first born and that first born will also be fathered by one of the brothers. Cam agrees, ready to double-cross Rumple like her mother did. It should be easy but she never expected to fall for the brothers.
Stiltz is wildly imaginative and highly original. CM Stunich's mind is a wonder to me. She is a clever, creative artist. Each book is a well-written, legitimate one-of-a-kind adventure. Her imagination verges on brilliance. This book is a perfect example. She has taken a well-known fairy tale (one of my least favorite) and put her spin on it. A league of assassins. Rumple's Kin. Amazing. Add in her always vivid characters and her trademark steamy scenes and you have a very entertaining book!
