Basketball was Maverick's world until Lo. Now he has everything his heart wants. Getting into college on his own, winning a position on the Steinbeck Scorpions, getting out from under his father's control, and loving his girl. It should all be perfect but the games aren't over yet. The moment he steps on campus, he's a target. Just because you're teammates, doesn't make you on the same side. Lo is alone again. Sure she has Kyle and Laurie but they are a couple, sure of their plans. She has her father but his life is with Stella and Beth. She has Maverick but he's at school. So she's surrounded by people but she's alone. Except for the demons she never faced.

Wicked Beginnings (Wicked B... Wicked Beginnings (Wicked Bay #1)

                by     ****REVIEW
Eloise Stone, Lo lost her mother and her brother in an accident that nearly claimed her life. Now her father has moved her from her home in England to his family's home in California a place Lo has only visited once before. Now she finds herself living in her uncle's pool house and mostly alone since her father keeps disappearing. Even worse the boy she met last summer, the one she felt something for turns out to be her step-cousin and is living in the main house. And he acts like they have never met! Maverick Prince isn't the same boy Lo met last summer. He's all man know and instead of sweet and vulnerable, he's dark. That's okay though because Lo isn't the same sweet, shy girl from last summer either. As Lo tries to settle into a new school, make new friends, get along with her new cousins, deal with her father's secrets, and cope with her loss and grief, Mav is a constant presence. He makes it clear that he's not interested, that Lo is nothing to him but she sees glimpses that tell her otherwise. Maverick is dangerous to her well-being.
Wicked Beginnings resembles the teen angst romance of Fallen Crest (TIjan), The Royals (Erin Watt), and the Kennedy Boys (Siobhan Davis). If you are a fan of those series, I believe you will be entertained by this series as well. The characters are all 100% believable even if not particularly likable. I liked Lo, I wasn't always a fan of her actions although I think that she behaved more realistically than most fictional characters with her drinking and her seesaw emotions. She actually showed tremendous strength considering everything that she had been through the past year and with her father's behavior. It's obvious that Mav is going through something major but I am not a fan of the guy ignoring the girl/being with other girls and still getting THE GIRL. I would have preferred Lo to show more resistance!! Fake some pride. The rest of the cousins vary. Macey isn't worth mentioning. Summer has potential but needs to be more defined, become a closer friend. Kyle reminds me of a knock-off Logan from Fallen Crest. I wish that I felt more of a kinship between him and Lo. It's close but not quite right. Laurie is great and Devon turned out to be my biggest disappointment. There is not one decent adult in this book. The Prince-Stones are absent, the grandparents are insensitive, and Lo's dad is disgusting. He fails so supremely as a father that I wish horrors upon him. I hate him so much that it distracted me from the teen storylines at times! As far as I am concerned there is NO coming back from everything that he has done. I would be moving in permanently with my cousins as tense as that can be if I were Lo.
This is Lo's book, told in her POV. Her pain is real, it's raw. Anyone who has suffered unexpected loss can relate. Each new experience, each betrayal, each slight, each moment of passion is experienced through her eyes. She makes this book work. I look forward to spending more time with her. I need so much more from Mav. He needs to prove his worth. I need the bond with Kyle to be tightened so that I feel that brother-bond. I need for Summer to come alive more. I need for Lo's dad to face karma! Then I need answers...what is going on with Mav, with the Prince-Stone household, with Macey? Obviously, I need book 2.

Reforming Kent (The Kennedy Boys #10)

by
Kent Kennedy. The black sheep of the family, the embarrassment, the one with the reputation for drugs, alcohol, and women. Everyone has pretty much made up their mind. Women want one night with him, guys know who to call to party. But no one really knows him. They don't know his secrets, they don't know his pain. Kent wants to prevent anyone else from experiencing his hurt but beyond that, he doesn't expect much out of life. Until her. Presley is dangerous. She makes him dream of tomorrow. She gives him hope. She doesn't realize he can't be saved.

Well, this is it. The last Kennedy Brother. We all knew it had to end with Kent. Troubled, brilliant. snarky. Kent has been impossible to love, difficult to like, even tough to tolerate at times. Yet, along the way, there were flashes of the real Kent. We saw his friendship with Eva and his gentleness with Selena. Behind his ugly words, we saw his vulnerability. His eyes were oceans of pain. We knew something happened, something bad. Something that would change everything, make us understand, and possibly destroy us. We only thought we knew. Kent's story gutted me. It's the ultimate story of failure. Not of Kent but of the world surrounding him. A lost young man, hurt beyond his understanding, keeping a secret, unseen and misunderstood by all who are supposed to love him. Judged and condemned for his behavior. Then along came Presley and suddenly Kent saw a future. He found someone who accepted him, understood him, adored him, who didn't want to change him, so much as help him heal. Of course, being a Siobhan story, this isn't a sappy sweet love story. There's plenty of love and plenty of cheese but there's angst, ugliness, and pain. You will agonize with Kent. His story will horrify you; if you've suffered trauma be aware, it will be difficult. Presley's story can also trigger some deep emotions. But have faith. Ultimately this is a story of redemption, triumph, and love. You will gasp, laugh, cry, sigh, fume, and swoon. And by the last page, you will know Kent Kennedy. Not the Kent you thought you knew, not the Kent the paparazzi sensationalized but the Kent he was always meant to be. A strong, intelligent, loving brother and son, a man deeply in love, romantic and protective, more teddy bear than hound dog.

From Kyler to Kent, this series has been an incredible ride. The Kennedy's have become family to me. I'm grateful they adopted me as one of their own and I hate to say goodbye. So much drama, so much love. Everyone will have their favorite Kennedy. I have three, Kyler, Keaton, and Kent. Their stories touched me on a personal level and I will carry their stories with me. And who knows, we may hear more from them one day. Until then, there's always re-reads.

Adoring Keaton (The Kennedy Boys #9)

by
Keaton's life has been lived in the public eye for as long as he can remember. And for as long as he can remember, he's been hiding who he really is. He's afraid. Afraid to disappoint, afraid to hurt others, afraid, afraid he won't be accepted, afraid of never having the life he wants. He's lived for years hiding behind his fears. But no more. It's time to let go of his secret. It's time to take a chance on life, on love.

The Kennedy's are family now. I adore the guys, their girls, and their lives. But not since Ky and Faye have I loved a Kennedy brother story like I love Keat's story. Keaton and Austen have a love that hits me hard. One that I want to cherish, protect, even if they are fictional characters. They make my heart feel full. I Adore Keaton. I Adore Austen. I need a stronger word than adore for Keaton and Austen together but I am at a loss. Suggestions are welcome. These two guys aren't perfect, but they are close. They are smart, caring, sexy, and hot. They appreciate one another on a level seldom found. This is the love poets write about. They make mistakes, the world interferes, yet they find their way to HEA and that made me deeply glad. I realize that without a doubt, this is the sappiest review I have ever written and I do it with absolutely no shame. I mean every word. I have never been as impatient for the next pages of a book. Keats and Austen; their life is going to be so good. I can imagine the details but I wouldn't say no to another book. Maybe one set 10 years from now. Think about it, Siobhan...I'm on board.
I would be thrilled with another book featuring Keats and Austen in their 30's.

Releasing Keanu (The Kennedy Boys #8)

by
Keanu and Selena. One day Keanu had the girl of his dreams, the next she had broken his heart. He had given her everything he had to give but it wasn't enough. She played him for the fool and when she left him, he tried to drink and screw her out of his mind and heart. But nothing worked. She was the only girl for him. So when she turned up on his doorstep needing help, he vowed to do everything he could to make her his again and to keep her forever this time.

This is not the typical Siobhan Davis angsty, drama-filled book. This is a gentle, tender, emotional journey that will leave you gutted, then pick you up and fill you with hope and joy. Keanu and Selena are a love story like no other. She's broken but strong enough to pick up her pieces and work towards being whole. He's the most patient, kind, loving man Siobhan has ever written. He's a true Prince Charming. Together they face the world's ugliness and together, they are beautiful. I read so much of this book with tears in my eyes. These two are special and their story will touch you.

The Kennedy family shines in this book. The love each brother has for the others made me tear up. Unconditional. Whatever, whenever they need anything, the brothers are there for one another. Kent started to reveal himself during this book. I have never been a fan of Kent Kennedy but he showed a different side of himself with Selena. There's a real man hiding within the lost boy. I'm dying for his story now.

Please read the trigger warning before reading this book. Selena's story is ugly and could be upsetting or triggering if you have experienced trauma.

Seducing Kaden (The Kennedy... Seducing Kaden (The Kennedy Boys #6)

                        By    *****REVIEW

Evelina once dreamed of Prince Charming, a fairy tale romance, her own Happily Ever After. But that's not what life had in store for her. Saving Brad (The Kennedy Bo... Saving Brad (The Kennedy Boys #5)

                     by Siobhan Davis   ****REVIEW
Saving Brad is part of the Kennedy Boys series. Brad isn't a Kennedy, but he's been like a brother to Ky for years. Their relationship has been strained for the past year since Brad is convinced he's in love with Faye, Kyler's 'now and forever' girl. Rachel is Faye's best friend from Ireland. Now she's in America, going to school and living with Faye. Other than one unforgettable night Brad and Faye hate each other. But is hate the only emotion they have for one another? Is it hate at all? This is a drama-filled story with plenty of angst, sex, suspense, and action.
Brad has never been my favorite character in this series. I know tons of readers love him, but his self-destructive path, his disrespect for Ky, his man-whoring ways have not endeared him to me. I was not looking forward to reading his story one bit. Rachel, on the other hand, intrigued me. Yes, she was also on a self-destructive path, and yes, she was clearly running from her pain too, but she didn't pant over her best friend's man and she was trying to do better. There's the difference for me; Rachel was trying to behave healthier, Brad was continuing to wallow. However, Siobhan is good. She made me feel for Brad. His pain ran much deeper than I realized, his self-loathing much stronger. I still disliked him and his behavior at times; I think he has too many selfish moments and hurts the people closest to him, but he manned up in this book. Proof again of the power of a good woman, the power of love. Rachel broke my heart. Her story was truly painful. Her strength is amazing.
Brad and Rachel started out backward. Sex, then enemies, then uneasy friends, then everything. They both have so much healing to do. Rachel is stronger and kinder than Brad, but she makes him a better man, the man he was always meant to be if life hadn't knocked him down. Rachel has been hurt at the deepest level. She has kept her suffering hidden, hurt herself trying to forget. Brad is hurt, but he's also very angry, so he strikes out, deliberately hurting others, then he feels worse about himself. Good friends, love, getting out of your own head and worrying about someone else, getting support; these are the ways to heal; it just takes these two longer to figure out the right way to move forward. When they both realize that the past can be dealt with, that the present can be good, and the future can be promising, it's such a major feel-good love story, you can't help but cheer them on. Their story is an emotional journey, one that too many of us can relate to on one level or another. Their happiness can give us all hope.
Brad and Rachel's story is tied up at the end in the sweetest of ways, but during the finale, we get a glimpse of the next story. Kaden. It's quite a shock and I can't wait!

Trigger warning: Sexual abuse survivors please take note that parts of this story could be upsetting.

Loving Kalvin (The Kennedy ... Loving Kalvin (The Kennedy Boys #4)

                     by Siobhan Davis   *****REVIEW
Prepare to have your mind changed. Forget your Lana hate. This is the best Kennedy Boys book yet! I will be honest, I was not a Lana fan. I mean, she's no Addison, but she never seemed to have much personality and then she went and hurt a Kennedy. And since I am confessing, Kalvin and Lana didn't hold any appeal to me as a couple either. Siobhan Davis proved her worth with this book. Not only did I change my mind about Lana, I actually became sympathetic and sided with her at times. And more than anything I wanted Lana and Kalvin to work out their issues and get their HEA. This is a beautiful love story. It's a story of human flaws, bravery, perseverance, forgiveness, and love. There's no soap opera drama, no car chases or kidnapping. This is a story of mistakes, misunderstandings, secrets. It's poignant. It's touching. It's impassioned and heartwarming.
After the trial, Lana and her family fled to Florida. After changing her name she enrolled in the University of Florida. She knows that she will always love Kalvin, but she also knows that she ruined any chance to ever be with him, so she's starting a new life. She keeps busy with classes, volunteering, family, and wallowing in guilt. What she never expects is that Kalvin will show up on campus. He's never forgotten their conversations about going to Florida and he's hoping to find Lana. He dreams of a future with her. Once he finds her, Lana doesn't make it easy for him. Wooing is necessary. Theirs isn't an easy path to togetherness. Both make mistakes, for a minute it seems that history may repeat itself. There's always more to the story than what we can see at a glance. Secrets are exposed. Some secrets are shocking, unforgivable, hurtful, but they can also bring unexpected joy and a brilliant future. There's always more to the story than what we can see at a glance. Some things are meant to be. Lana and Kalvin are meant to be.
This book is written in dual POV. Lana is a much more sympathetic character than ever expected and Kalvin has matured. They each have pretty great roommates. Faye and Ky make a couple much appreciated appearances. The ending of this book is near perfection. I dare you not to fall in love yourself. Childhood love, a second chance, a fairy tale romance, and a HEA. This is the perfect summer read!

The Irish Getaway (The Kenn... The Irish Getaway (The Kennedy Boys #3.5)

                  by Siobhan Davis   ****REVIEW
The Irish Getaway is a gift to all of the readers who fell in love with Kyler and Faye; who endured their first roller coaster year together, and now want a glimpse of their HEA. It's full of fun, passion, and of course plenty of Kennedy drama.
Faye and Ky are in Ireland on their own for 3 weeks before the rest of the Kennedy clan invades the Emerald Isle. Ireland has never been hotter! Faye wants new memories to replace the broken-hearted ones she had leaving Ireland after her parent's deaths. So the two visit her favorite places, see her friends, and spend plenty of "quality" time together. Hot, steamy quality time! After surviving their past year, they deserve this little slice of heaven. Once the family arrives the drama begins. Estranged spouses are getting along, but brothers are not. Bad behavior ensues; drinking, sex, fighting and this is all before we add in Faye's new family. Faye's family can't match the Kennedy's for pure drama, but they seem to be trying their best. I will say, Faye's grandparents are adorable!
No one does a novella like Siobhan. You get an entertaining story, but you also get a bridge to coming books. She manages to drop little tidbits that come into play later on. Throwaway comments that are clues as to what will come. It's a literary scavenger hunt. I now need to follow up with Keanu and Selena, Kent, Kevin and Kade, and Rachel. So many Kennedy's to fall deeper in love with!
Faye and Ky lovers will delight in every second of this over the top love story. It's incredibly satisfying told in a dual POV. Their love and devotion will make you giddy. I recommend reading it between Keeping Kyler and Loving Kalvin if possible just for continuity's sake. ENJOY!

Keeping Kyler (The Kennedy ... Keeping Kyler (The Kennedy Boys #3)             by Siobhan Davis   *****REVIEW

Keeping Kyler is Siobhan Davis at her finest! You could not ask for a better, hotter, more action-packed conclusion to the trilogy. This series is compulsively readable. So much of that Kennedy drama that we love so much.
We pick up where book 2 left off. Ky has taken off after learning that James is not his birth father. Faye is tracking him down determined that they will face life together. He meets his father, it doesn't go well, and Kyler has a melt-down. Luckily Faye catches up to him soon after. It's then that Kyler comes clean and confesses a dark secret he's been hiding for years. It's heartbreaking and powerful. It's nice to see Faye be Kyler's rock this time. These two are perfect together, the way they balance one another, support and love one another.
Faye and Kyler head back to the Kennedy's only to have another unexpected threat arise. This one could be the end of their happiness. It can't be overcome with all of the love and support Faye or the Kennedy's have to offer. This book has so many twists and turns, so much drama, angst, and suspense. Ky and Faye are hit with one emotional shot after another. It seems as if fate is against them. Or maybe it's a twisted soul. Either way, it could be the end.
This book has more of everyone. More Kennedy brothers. More Brad. More of Faye's bio-dad and her siblings. More James and Alex. More Addison (can't get rid of that girl). Each plays their role and is necessary.
I have to add how much I loved reading Kyler's POV this time. I have been hard on him in the past. He deserved my anger! Reading his thoughts, his feelings gutted me. I forgave him for most everything he's done wrong and just wanted to hug him. My love for him grew leaps and bounds in this book.
This is a love story from beginning to end, however, it's also a mystery. There's so much packed into this book it could get convoluted, yet Siobhan is a masterful writer. She takes you to the edge, then jumps over with you. It's an over the top spectacle that you can't help but enjoy. But it's never too much. Her characters are all fully developed and multi-layered. We get a little more detailing about the other brothers this book, although this just adds more questions to their characters. This is all about setting up future books. The mystery is a cleverly written plot to destroy the Kennedy's. When you are rich, famous, and sometimes thoughtless, it's easy to make enemies. The Kennedy's have enemies at every turn, now it's time to pay up. Edge of your seat suspense!
I loved this series. I can't imagine that any of the other Kennedy brothers will be able to match Kyler. His combination of brashness and vulnerability, the broken little boy with a darkness, the fiercely loving man. So swoon-worthy. I can't imagine that he won't always be my favorite, however, I can't wait to see if Siobhan surprises me. I look forward to another brother trying to woo me away in the next Kennedy Boys book!

Losing Kyler (The Kennedy B... Losing Kyler (The Kennedy Boys #2)                by Siobhan Davis *****REVIEW

It just doesn't get any better than this! Siobhan Davis has created an absolutely addictive story with the Kennedy's. It's well-written, full of compelling characters, and a fantastic storyline. It's non-stop drama that you can't help but love. This book has more twists and turns, more frustrating moments, more heartfelt moments, more heartbreak, just more, more, more.
Kyler and Faye are one of my favorite couples ever. Losing Kyler picks up with Faye and Kyler facing the devastating news James delivered at the end of book one of their familial ties. Until DNA results are available the two are determined to stay away from each other as difficult as that is. Regardless of the results, their relationship is at risk. Kyler's actions could destroy any chance they may or may not have for love.
The Kennedy clan is in turmoil. James and Alex's marriage is in trouble. Alex is a mess and family secrets are being revealed. One after another. Nothing in this family is as it appears! The brothers are doing their best to keep the family together and rally around Kal during his legal battle. We also get some key information about Faye. There is so much internal and external drama.
Brad returns in this book and again plays a key role. He's a great guy. Addison returns and wreaks more havoc than ever. I'm not sure I have ever hated an ex more, but it's not just about her. I also do not like how Kyler responds to her. He disappoints more than once in this book. The pain he causes Faye is hard to handle. I know he thinks that he is doing what is best, but love is about trust, not shutting out. His actions betray Faye causing every sort of harm. She's more forgiving than he deserves and then he betrays their love again. This final mistake may be their end.
Siobhan has written an incredible book. Losing Kyler immediately sucks you in and there's no walking away until the final word. This book should come with a warning: Reader will become quickly obsessed, losing out on sleep until the end is reached; then will be in a state of unrest until the final book is released. I can't wait!

Finding Kyler (The Kennedy ... Finding Kyler (The Kennedy Boys #1)

                  by Siobhan Davis   *****REVIEW

I was excited when I heard Siobhan was going to write a contemporary romance. She is so good at creating characters that I knew it would be something special. I was not disappointed. If you enjoyed The Royals or Tijan's less dark books, you will LOVE Finding Kyler.
The Kennedy's are American Fashion Royalty running their famous Kennedy Clothing Line. Faye is a recently orphaned Irish girl. The Kennedy's are rich, arrogant, dysfunctional; they are a Brand. Faye is a normal, middle-class girl. Faye's life has already been turned upside-down with the deaths of her beloved parents. Now she is expected to move to America to live with her previously unknown relatives; her mother's brother, his wife, and their 7 sons. She's expected to be a Kennedy, to fit into a world of wealth where everyone seems only out for themselves.
This book is so good! Siobhan has created a family with so much depth, I can see/hope for a dozen books about them. The characters are so developed and this family is surrounded by so much drama. From Kyler's intensity and control to Keaton's lightheartedness to the total mystery of Keanu, each of the Kennedy boys ooze sexiness and trouble. With a family this big, we only get glimpses into several of the brothers, but each has a secret or story to tell. The world of privilege that they live in only deepens their allure.
This book focuses on Kyler and Faye. They have an immediate connection, but neither is interested. There is also hostility on Kyler's side. Their interactions are tense at every level; sexual, angry, confused, lustful. You know they are meant to be together despite the taboo of being cousins. It's not illegal, but it's also not accepted. They fight it, but some things are meant to be. It's not always pretty between them. Kyler hurts Faye, and you hurt along with her. But the payoff is fantastic. They are explosive together. As the Kennedy family falls apart, they only grow closer. Love this couple!
This is a well-paced, well-written, multi-layered story. Emotions are pulled in so many directions. It's absolutely addictive. Once I started, I couldn't put it down. And the ending! Warning: it is a cliffhanger and it will leave you desperate for the next book. I can't recommend this book enough; it's so very good! Siobhan has found her place at the top of this genre.
